She's Writing!

The other night Hayden and I were coloring a gingerbread man when she told me she was going to write her name at the bottom of the page. Sure enough, without any help remembering how to spell her name or what the letters looked like, she wrote 'HAYDEn' at the bottom of the paper! Not only did she write it all by herself, she even went the extra mile and made every stroke a different marker color!

There are so many joys of parenting, but this one...the way they surprise you with what they know or what they can do...and then the look on their little face when you tell them how proud you are...it's incredible...
