Hayden's been such a big help in the kitchen lately. She helps with everything and can do a lot of things by herself. One day last week she insisted on assembling our lunch sandwiches all by herself!
We managed a few more fun family outings leading up to Christmas Day like this ice skating at Red Arrow Park with Auntie Mary.
...and this third and final Santa visit at the holiday party at her daycare...
Our Christmas tree brought so much happiness to the family this year.
Christmas morning was pretty exciting. Hayden was a little nervous to go into the dark living room alone - I think she was afraid that Santa might still be in there! As soon as she saw the cookies she left out the night before were eaten, she squealed with delight that Santa had come to our house!
When she saw the presents, the first thing she did (just like last year) was grab the present she made for Steve and me and she insisted that we open that gift first. I still can't get over the fact that this little girl would rather first give a gift than open the many gifts left for her by Santa. She's such a sweetheart.
Hayden got an Olaf doll and blanket and Elsa & Anna pajamas for Christmas. I think she likes them!
After the mad rush of Christmas, it was nice to get away and spend a weekend at Erin and Bryant's cabin. Since Erin's having a baby girl soon (end of Jan) my Mom and I threw here a teeny tiny baby shower on Friday night.
The kids had a blast playing games and riding rides on Saturday night at Knuckleheads.
