Flying By

Hayden's almost nine months old already. Her first year is just flying by. I wish I could stop time and keep her at this age and size for a little while. My baby is getting so big so fast!

Here's a quick update...

-Hayden is a really active baby. She's not technically crawling (not totally up on her knees) but she can do an army crawl and can get anywhere she wants. The ladies at daycare tell me she explores every nook and cranny of her daycare room every day.

-Hayden is very goal oriented. If she wants something, she will do whatever it takes to get it... crawl across the whole house, climb over my shoulder, jump out of my arms. She just sets her eyes on something and uses every muscle in her body and every ounce of strength to get it. She certainly doesn't wait for things to come to her.

-She's been saying 'da da' for awhile, but now she's starting to make softer consonant sounds like 'na' and 'ma'. It won't be long before I hear my first 'ma ma'!

-Hayden LOVES to be outside. When we go for walks, I sometimes take her out of her stroller and carry her on my hip so she can explore the world a little more closely. We stop and look at trees and flowers, dogs on walks, and kids riding bikes. She has a huge smile plastered on her face the whole time and her long hair blows in the wind and just cracks me up.
