Do Over

We're 'doing over' two rooms on the first floor of our house. My Mom took Hayden over the weekend so that Steve and I could hustle to paint, move furniture, and pull it all together.

I'm letting go of my desire for a 'TV free' room in the house, our house is just to small for that. We're turning the tiny TV room into a play room for Hayden and a space to house her growing number of toys.

The TV and furniture are coming out into the main room and we're finally getting to the point of hanging things on the walls, etc. Only took 6 years in house to buy some decorations.

We worked like dogs. We worked from 9-10 on Saturday and were up and at it again at 5 on Sunday morning. After one coat of primer, two coats of paint, many shopping trips, returns and exchanges in less than 48 hours, I can say we're almost there.

Things have sort of been going like this - buy a beautiful new rug for the living room. Get it all installed and love it. Only to decide 4 hours later you should have bought a rug one size bigger. Buy some curtains for the play room, get them home and put them up. Only to decide 4 minutes later that the color is all wrong.

**sigh**

There's so much yet to do. Get the right rug. Get the right curtains. Hang artwork. Get a few other decor items. Buy new/bigger TV. Buy new TV stand. We'll get there. And it HAS to be done before Thanksgiving since we're hosting. Nothing like a deadline to get us moving! Here are a few shots of the progress.

And just for fun...here are a few pics from work on Friday. We had quite the 'Wap' party at work at the end of the day. It was sophisticated Wap (champagne! chambord!). Too much fun..
