In June we went to Denver to see the Buege family's new digs for the first time. It was Hayden's first plane ride and our first family vacation. We had a great time!

In mid-August we rented side-by-side cabins at the Three Bears Resort & Waterpark outside of the Dells. Five families from Milwaukee & Minneapolis spent the weekend together. It was a blast and a much needed diversion for Steve and me.

Hayden turned one year old on Friday, September 2. We decided not to have her party until the following weekend because some of our family members were out of town for Labor Day weekend. Happily, we had cousin Emily visit us on Hayden's actual birthday. She brought fun presents and a yummy cupcake for the birthday girl. After the baby went down for the night, the three of us ordered some yummy takeout and had a really nice visit. Thanks, Cuz!
